Conference & Hospitality Services coordinates year-round meeting spaces and summer conference programs for the UCSB campus community and external organizations. We host a diverse range of academic, leadership, outreach, faith-based, professional, athletic, and environmental groups, welcoming approximately 17,000 guests and managing over 125 summer conferences annually. By providing convenient accommodations and event spaces, we generate more than 155,000 bednights, with all revenue directly offsetting student housing fees.

Meetings & Events
Discover the ease of hosting your next meeting, reception, or retreat in a scenic coastal setting at UC Santa Barbara, where venues range from well-equipped meeting rooms to secluded retreat settings. Our diverse lineup of event spaces includes the 8,000-square-foot Loma Pelona Center with its lagoon-facing outdoor patio, the private and flexible West Conference Center, and various Residential Common Areas tailored for campus-affiliated groups. The Club & Guest House offers full-service catering and ocean views, while the University Center provides meeting convenience just steps from the ocean. UCSB offers the perfect backdrop, with overnight group accommodations available for summer conference guests from late June through early September.
Visitor Accommodations
UC Santa Barbara offers a range of convenient lodging options tailored for campus visitors, students, and families. For visitors, faculty, and scholars on University business, accommodations include the peaceful, ocean-front West Cottages, flexible Summer Apartment Rentals, and the 34-room, boutique hotel-style Club & Guest House featuring stunning lagoon views. To ease stressful transition periods, UCSB students can take advantage of June and September Temporary Housing, while visiting Summer Interns can secure affordable, fully furnished apartments. Additionally, we provide Orientation Housing for freshman parents and transfer students in one of our newest apartment complexes on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring a comfortable stay for every member of the university community.
