Celebrating Spring and Forward Momentum

If you’ve enjoyed lunch in The Dining Room at The Club during the last few months, you’ve likely noticed a vibrant new addition gracing its southeast wall. The large-scale artwork titled Trip to Topawa (2022) by contemporary Native American artist Ishi Glinsky, is on long-term loan from the Art, Design & Architecture (AD&A) Museum at UC Santa Barbara.

Apprehension and excitement. These were just two of the mixed emotions swirling among the Transportation & Parking Services staff as we headed into the end of the 2023 fall quarter.

HDAE has a long history of environmental stewardship or sustainability.  This includes working to save water during many droughts, converting to low-flow toilets and faucets, and using recycled water for irrigation and now even to flush toilets.  HDAE also works hard to reduce waste going to landfills.  We recycle in all areas, compost foo
